The Face Behind Susie's

For as far as I can remember, my mom (Sue aka Susie) and grandma would both bake a ton of cookies during Christmas time, then they would swap with each other and create cookie trays to give out. I would always just watch and never actually help. I also remember mom making cakes but only through pictures. ​ When my grandma moved into a nursing home, my mom kept up the baking capacity (with help from my uncle several times). Then when my mother past in November of 2017, my dad and I were determined to keep the tradition going and make her cookies. And we ended up making 15 or so trays! Baking began to grow on me. April of 2018, my grandma passed. That was an extremely trying time, losing both matriarchs within 5 months.

My dad and I have kept the Christmas cookies going ever since. However, I felt like I wanted to try my hand at other baking and techniques my mom or grandma never dabbled in. So I started decorating sugar cookies and cakes... ​ Turns out I have a natural talent for it and LOVE doing it! Not only has baking brought my dad and I closer, every time I bake I feel like my mom and grandma are with me and brings such joy! I love creating beautiful cookies, confections, and cakes for people to enjoy! bringing people happiness through my confections.
